The Incubator School is a diverse pilot academy in Los Angeles, California. Here, a collaborative approach to learning is taught with a focus on STEM and entrepreneurship. These students are being taught the fundamentals needed to develop and lead their own endeavors. With this skill-set, they will be able to solve problems and create impact in their own communities.
Last August, the 6th grade class interviewed Sustainability International’s founder, Chinyere Nnadi. He shared with them his journey to fix the environmental and human rights disaster in his community, the Niger Delta.
Together, the class brainstormed how they might fix the pollution and health crisis in Nigeria. They developed innovative and creative solutions that would clean up the oil spills and provide clean water to the communities of the Niger Delta.
Sustainability International and Media For Justice Nigeria will be working with the Incubator School’s 6th grade class to design mobile applications that will educate youth in the Niger Delta and all over the world about conservation.
